8. Andrew Murray Mitchell

Born in 1842 at Meathie, Scotland. He was the twin of William. Andrew left Scotland to join his brother David in Victoria. He sailed on the ship Hope from Liverpool and arrived in Melbourne on June 21, 1860. He was listed as a labourer aged 20 years. [1]

He died on June 8, 1864 in Airly Station, Upper Yarra, Victoria, Australia. His Death Certificate lists him as the overseer of Airly Station. The cause of death shock following an accident in which he fractured his leg. He was ill for two days. [2] He was 23 years old.

His funeral left Lillydale via Kew for interment in the Melbourne General Cemetery on June 10, 1864.
