4. Hugh Mitchell

Born in 1830/34 in Forfar, Angus, Scotland. In 1861 Hugh was listed as living with his mother on the North Meathie farm.
On July 19, 1864 in Kirriemuit, Angus, Scotland he married Ann Cathro who was born on November 15, 1828 in Cortachy, Angus, Scotland.

Children of Hugh and Ann:
1. Ann Cathro Mitchell born January 29, 1866 in Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland.
2. Betsy Simpson Mitchell born May 9, 1868 in Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland.
3. Jane Mitchell born abt 1869, Kirriemuir, Forfarshire.
4. Margaret Webster Mitchell born May 29, 1870 in Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland.
In 1881 Hugh was farming 50 acres (40 acres arable) at Prosen Haugh Farm House, Kirriemuir with his wife Ann, step-daughter Mary Robertson, daughters Ann, Jane (?), and Margaret, mother- in-law Margaret Cathro, and agricultural laborer David Farquharson (60 Arbilot).
Hugh died on January 30, 1904 at Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland.
